Aspartame Linked to Cancer

Here’s something to chew on, if you don’t mind getting cancer!

Can chewing gum lead to cancer? That is an important question to ask now that the “safety” of aspartame has been “proved” by science and aspartame is a common ingredient in most chewing gum.

According to Dr. Morando Soffritti, who led a rigorous three-year study on the effects of aspartame on rats, the artificial sweetener, which is sold as commercial brands such as NutraSweet and Equal and also commonly used in chewing gum and diet sodas, can lead to both leukemia and lymphoma when the aspartame converts to formaldehyde!

Many people believe Gulf War illness was due to diet sodas with the aspartame being super heated by the desert air and thereby converting the aspartame to formaldehyde and creating a toxic environment in the body. Since no attempt is made to refrigerate chewing gum and since nearly all chewing gum has aspartame, this is a potential hidden danger we all need to be aware of…especially for our children.

For more information on aspartame and its dangers, you can read the articles “New Research Links Nutrasweet to Leukemia and Lymphoma” and “Aspartame: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You” on Dr. Mercola’s natural health newsletter website.
